So I know its been way too long but I’ve been super busy. And as previously stated, I just don’t really enjoy updating blogs, myspace, etc. etc. (No I’m still not on faceblah) and basically detest most types of self promotion in general. I’d rather actually do shit then spend my time telling people about it. Like make music and go see and hear good music. And I’ve been doing a LOT of that. So you want an update on what I’ve been up to? Well, here it is…

Let see, since my last blog post I’ve:

-started working full time doing I.T. at an ad agency again (the jobby job pays the bills and allows me to do all this other stuff and it’s pretty cool so far)
-helping and promoting for Afro-Funke @ Zanzibar in Santa Monica
-went to Coachella,
-went to Rochester NY for my friends b-day and to meet his new-born son that he may or may not have named after me
-went to Las Vegas twice
-went home to Boston and Maine
-djed various parties and events in the L.A area, including a kick-azz July 4th set on the beach in Hermosa
-playing basketball, circuit and boxing training, socializing and spending time with good friends and loved ones

-continued volunteering @ KCRW, including but not limited to
-general office duties (everyone starts here)
-assisting on air djs
-setting up and running the volunteer group @ First Fridays @ The Natural History Museum
-setting up and running the volunteer group @ Also I LIke To Rock @ The Hammer Museum
-helping with the pledge drive
-serving as sound assistant for the live performances on Morning Become Eclectic
-like a bazillion other events and cool stuff I can’t really remember all of or list but I know there was even a pie contest in there…

-helped with and/or attended many many various kcrw and non-kcrw concerts and events, including but not limited to: Daniel Merriweather, Atlas Sound, The Foreign Exchange Grammy Party, School Of Seven Bells, Neon Indian (kind of), Toro y Moi and Caribou, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Fitz & The Tantrums, Massive Attack, Blackalicious, John Legend, Reggae Fest with Sly & Robbie & Jimmy Cliff @ The Hollywood Bowl, Seu Jorge, Chromeo & The Chemical Brothers @ The Hollywood Bowl, Interpol, Rocky Dawuni and last but not least Coachella (did I mention that before?).

Yeah I’ve also somehow been working on music in that time as well. I actually just finished this mash-up which I originally made for the 4th but had to work on a bit more for me to be satisfied with it as “ready” I think it’s there but let me know what you think.

I’m also putting finishing touches on my debut album called This Instant Is The Beginning Of The Future. I know that sounds a bit pompous but it’s more about the idea of living in the present and that each moment is an opportunity to change and grow however you want and decide. No remixes or mash-ups here. Just all original instrumental electro hippy pop as I like to call it. Just you wait. Until then jam out to the mash and enjoy these last remaining days of summer… Right NOW!

peace
